The Stone Temple Posers are a STP Tribute band based out of Plaistow, New Hampshire, and this is our official website.  Please visit our Facebook page and "like" us and/or join our email list for monthly emails with updates and exclusive content.  We play 100% pure STP!  Although we have enough material to play a whole night, we often will share the night with one or more other great local tribute/original/cover bands.  For smaller and more intimate venues, we can perform a whole unplugged acoustic set of STP.  So if you are a venue in New England, contact us; if you are a fan, come see us.    If you are a venue looking for a demo video, please go to our EPK page; audio is on our Audio page.  We are also on ArtistBomb.com.  Our guitars/basses are expertly serviced by Chris from Black Cat Guitar (blackcatguitar.com).

Our show tonight at the Portland House of Music has been cancelled and postponed until next Friday January 24th due the pending snow storm.  Tickets bought beforehand will be honored.

More dates being added

We have booked some more dates including Friday February 7 at the Breakaway in Danvers, MA (with All that 90's cover band) and Friday February 21 at Boneheads Live in Fall River, MA (with the Sickness - Disturbed tribute), and Saturday March 14 at the Stone Church in Newmarket NH (with Yellow LedVedder - Pearl Jam tribute), and Saturday March 11 at the Vault in New Bedford, MA (with the Sickness and Opiate - Tool tribute).

Several New Dates Added

First, the Stone Temple Posers want to thank Alan McIntyre for joining the boys for a Nerve reunion Saturday November 30 at the Crows Nest. It had been over 12 years since the Nerve played together, and time has shown that Alan can still bring it! ... maybe another reunion in 12 more years? Thanks also to Bill Mitchell and Dave Sword for their guest appearances. Bill was a founding member of the Nerve and will soon be out with his latest project “Plan B”. Bassman Dave has played with John and Paul in various bands and nailed Tool’s Sober. Thanks also to James for mixing sound, the venue for having us, and of course all of the great Nerve and Stone Temple Poser fans that enjoyed the show. Our next few appearances will include a recently added date on Thursday January 9 at Thunder Road in Somerville, MA with Five Against None (Pearl Jam tribute), followed by a date on Saturday January 18 at the Portland House of Music with Yellow LedVedder (Pearl Jam tribute) and Priceless Advice (Nirvana tribute). We will also be returning to Barre VT January 31 for an entire night of STP.  We also have booked some gigs at the Stone Church, the Vault, and Boneheads Live; check our calendar for dates.  Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

Nerve reunion show coming up Nov 30

We have uploaded some photos from last weeks show at the Jewel (thanks to Tom H); video and audio from the show still to come.  We played after the world premiere of Eric Hansen’s ‘Scott Weiland - Man of Velvet and Stone’. The movie contains rare footage from Scott’s show with the Wildabouts at the Jewel in May 2015, including interviews with Scott and others about that ill-fated tour. Thanks to Bill for mixing sound and the Scott Weiland fans that came out for a night of STP and Velvet Revolver. Our next show will be at the Crows Nest in Plaistow NH on November 30; also appearing will be a reunion of the Nerve.

Scott Weiland - Man of Velvet and Stone World Premier

On November 9th, Dark Tower Entertainment will present the World Premier of "Scott Weiland - Man Of Velvet And Stone", a Documentary Concert Film by Eric Hansen featuring the final tour from the iconic lead singer of The Wildabouts, Velvet Revolver, and Stone Temple Pilots. This is the first showing of this film in the world, and it will be shown in the very place it was filmed! The Stone Temple Posers are honored to performing after the film. Note: This is a FREE EVENT... but it is LIMITED TO ONLY 150 GUESTS. So get there early! 21+ Only with Valid ID.

Lits Blitz recap

The Stone Temple Posers want to thank all the hardy hard rock fans for partying with us outdoors in the dreary rain/drizzle last Saturday night at Lits Blitz.  If anyone filmed the end of Wicked Garden when the power cut off and the crowd kept on singing ‘burn burn burn’, please share that video with us! Mr. Dube: thanks for organizing this event, it was a pleasure playing alongside such other great tribute bands like AD/HD, Rotten Apple, the Sickness, and Bullet Called Life.  Thanks to the Lithuanian Beach Cub staff for their gracious hospitality, building a monster bonfire, and Bill for running sound under less than ideal conditions.  We’ll be posing some video, audio, and photos soon.  Our next show is November 9 at the Jewel in Manchester NH; stay tuned for more details on this event.

The Stone Temple Posers are stoked to be in this line up in less than two weeks featuring AD/HD (AC/DC tribute), Rotten Apple (AIC tribute), the Sickness (Disturbed tribute), and Bullet Called Life (System of a Down tribute).  This 5-band outside show will be at the Lithuanian Beach Club in Gardner Massachusetts and will start at 4:30PM; gates open at 4PM.  If you are in the central Massachusetts area next weekend, you won't want to miss this show!

Portland House of Music

Portland, we thank you for the love last night at the Portland HOM!  The acoustic show (MTV Unplugged style) with our friends in Yellow LedVedder clearly exceeded our expectations.  This was a great venue, it was a beautiful night, the crowd was rockin, we played through a superb sound system and had a talented sound/light tech at the controls (Frank).  Our next show is Lits Blitz in Gardner MA September 14 with four other tributes to: AC/DC, AIC, Disturbed, and System of a Down.

Portland House of Music Debut up Next

Wow, what a show last Saturday night, SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! was insane! Grunge fans from Manchester and beyond did not disappoint; much appreciation to all that ventured out of the comfort of their AC to hang out at the Jewel Music Venue Manchester NH with us and three other uber-talented bands: Rotten Apple (AIC tribute), Priceless Advice (Nirvana tribute), and Yellow LedVedder (Pearl Jam tribute). During the show, we found out some awesome news: we will be playing at the Jewel on November 8 as part of the world premiere of a documentary on Scott Weiland produced by a local film-maker (we are stoked); more details later. Our next show is our debut at the Portland House of Music on August 24, where we will be acoustically opening for an unplugged Yellow Ledvedder.

In the 90s, four iconic voices (Layne, Kurt, Scott, and Eddie) ripped it up with their bands AIC, Nirvana, STP, and Pearl Jam, and they called it GRUNGE.  On July 20th, as part of SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! and only at the Jewel Music Venue Manchester NH, the Stone Temple Posers will be joined by three other tributes to these legendary bands fronted by some locally iconic and uber-talented frontmen.  SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! will feature the following tribute bands: Rotten Apple, Priceless Advice, and Yellow LedVedder, along with the Stone Temple Posers.  If you like grunge, you will not want to miss this show.  Get tickets early and save money.
