The Stone Temple Posers are a STP Tribute band based out of Plaistow, New Hampshire, and this is our official website.  Please visit our Facebook page and "like" us and/or join our email list for monthly emails with updates and exclusive content.  We play 100% pure STP!  Although we have enough material to play a whole night, we often will share the night with one or more other great local tribute/original/cover bands.  For smaller and more intimate venues, we can perform a whole unplugged acoustic set of STP.  So if you are a venue in New England, contact us; if you are a fan, come see us.    If you are a venue looking for a demo video, please go to our EPK page; audio is on our Audio page.  We are also on ArtistBomb.com.  Our guitars/basses are expertly serviced by Chris from Black Cat Guitar (blackcatguitar.com).

Lits Blitz recap

The Stone Temple Posers want to thank all the hardy hard rock fans for partying with us outdoors in the dreary rain/drizzle last Saturday night at Lits Blitz.  If anyone filmed the end of Wicked Garden when the power cut off and the crowd kept on singing ‘burn burn burn’, please share that video with us! Mr. Dube: thanks for organizing this event, it was a pleasure playing alongside such other great tribute bands like AD/HD, Rotten Apple, the Sickness, and Bullet Called Life.  Thanks to the Lithuanian Beach Cub staff for their gracious hospitality, building a monster bonfire, and Bill for running sound under less than ideal conditions.  We’ll be posing some video, audio, and photos soon.  Our next show is November 9 at the Jewel in Manchester NH; stay tuned for more details on this event.

The Stone Temple Posers are stoked to be in this line up in less than two weeks featuring AD/HD (AC/DC tribute), Rotten Apple (AIC tribute), the Sickness (Disturbed tribute), and Bullet Called Life (System of a Down tribute).  This 5-band outside show will be at the Lithuanian Beach Club in Gardner Massachusetts and will start at 4:30PM; gates open at 4PM.  If you are in the central Massachusetts area next weekend, you won't want to miss this show!

Portland House of Music

Portland, we thank you for the love last night at the Portland HOM!  The acoustic show (MTV Unplugged style) with our friends in Yellow LedVedder clearly exceeded our expectations.  This was a great venue, it was a beautiful night, the crowd was rockin, we played through a superb sound system and had a talented sound/light tech at the controls (Frank).  Our next show is Lits Blitz in Gardner MA September 14 with four other tributes to: AC/DC, AIC, Disturbed, and System of a Down.

Portland House of Music Debut up Next

Wow, what a show last Saturday night, SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! was insane! Grunge fans from Manchester and beyond did not disappoint; much appreciation to all that ventured out of the comfort of their AC to hang out at the Jewel Music Venue Manchester NH with us and three other uber-talented bands: Rotten Apple (AIC tribute), Priceless Advice (Nirvana tribute), and Yellow LedVedder (Pearl Jam tribute). During the show, we found out some awesome news: we will be playing at the Jewel on November 8 as part of the world premiere of a documentary on Scott Weiland produced by a local film-maker (we are stoked); more details later. Our next show is our debut at the Portland House of Music on August 24, where we will be acoustically opening for an unplugged Yellow Ledvedder.

In the 90s, four iconic voices (Layne, Kurt, Scott, and Eddie) ripped it up with their bands AIC, Nirvana, STP, and Pearl Jam, and they called it GRUNGE.  On July 20th, as part of SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! and only at the Jewel Music Venue Manchester NH, the Stone Temple Posers will be joined by three other tributes to these legendary bands fronted by some locally iconic and uber-talented frontmen.  SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! will feature the following tribute bands: Rotten Apple, Priceless Advice, and Yellow LedVedder, along with the Stone Temple Posers.  If you like grunge, you will not want to miss this show.  Get tickets early and save money.

Happy Fourth of July!

The Stone Temple Posers kicked off the 2019 Plaistow Town Common music series acoustically last Wednesday evening (6/26/19) with a night full of STP hits under sunny skies. It was cool and humbling to receive such a warm response from all those that came out to spend the evening with us, both young and old. We especially loved seeing all the families enjoying themselves on such a great summertime evening out. Thanks to Randy for running sound. If you saw us for the first time last night, we hope you enjoyed the unplugged grunge diversion. If, however, you crave a more raucous STP experience, you’ll have to look for us at SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! on July 20 at the Jewel Music Venue in Manchester NH, where we will be joined, fully amped, by three other great tribute bands including Yellow Ledvedder, Priceless Advice, and Rotten Apple.  In the mean time: Happy July Fourth!

Dancing Days Summer Tour Announced

The Stone Temple Posers have released the dates to their Dancing Days Summer Tour including: June 26 at the Plaistow NH Town Common, July 20 at SMELLS LIKE GRUNGE! at the Jewel Music Venue (Manchester, NH), August 24 at the Portland House of Music (Portland, ME), and September 14 at LITS BLITZ at the Lithuanian Beach Club (Gardner, MA).  Hope to see you this summah!

Committed at the Looney Bin

The Stone Temple Posers want to give a big shoutout to all the wonderful folks that came out to The Looney Bin Bar & Grill this past Saturday night to hang out and party with us for Grunge Tribute Nite.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for the start of bike week! Thanks to Rotten Apple (Alice in Chains Tribute) for getting the evening started with some killer AIC.  Thanks to Len of Hart Promotions for sound, lights, and special effects.  Special thanks to the management at the Looney Bin for taking the chance with two new tribute bands during bike week.  Our next show will be Wednesday June 26 at the Plaistow town common.  We will be playing unplugged from 6-8.  Bring your lawn chair and kick back for some G-rated STP. All ages.

Bike Week Gig Coming Up - June 8

Had a great time at Gusto's Bar in Barre Vermont this past Friday night. Mighty cool venue with a cozy stage, tasty pub food, ample craft beers, plenty of games (pool, ping pong, jenga, corn hole, and more), and great hospitality. Thanks to all the STP fans that came out to support local live music, thanks to Gordon and Dennis for sound and lights, and thanks to GigginVT Productions and Gusto's for making our Vermont debut a blast! Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Our sights are now set on June 8th for our next show at the The Looney Bin Bar & Grill in Laconia, NH; come kick off bike week with us and Rotten Apple - New England's Ultimate Alice in Chains Tribute Band.

Vermont Debut Coming Up

Last Saturday night we played nearly a 2-hr set after Papa Ballz (Papa Roach tribute) and a surprise appearance of Limp Ballz (Limp Bizkit tribute) rocked the Crows Nest Pub and Grill in their NH debut. We are blessed and thankful to all of the friends, family, and fans of 90s rock that hung out with us, even though the Bruins suffered a double OT playoff loss (Ugh). Thanks to the Crows Nest for making this show possible and James for mixing sound. Our next show is on May 24 at Gusto's Bar in Barre Vermont; this will be our VT debut!
